Got your attention, didn’t I?
Is it “Maverick’s” confidence? Is it his dreamy eyes, defined bone structure, and that subtle shadow of a dimple on his chin? Perhaps, it’s the blurry “danger” sign or the ominous American flag in the background that pulls you in?
OR…
Is it that super cool, super studly, super fresh jacket that good ol’ Tommy is sporting (the jacket that we all know looks as hot now, as it did in the 80’s)?:
AH Yes!!! It CERTAINLY is!! These bomber jackets are timeless and stops traffic in the air AND on the ground! And so you ask, “DB, what’s in it for me? What do bomber jackets have ANYTHING to do with BABYSTYLISTA??” Well, my friends… it has EVERYTHING to do with BABYSTYLISTA!!!
Check these BABIES out:
…available in a wide range of sizes…
As LD claims, and I quote: “You can be my wingbaby any time”…
Being true to our Canadian roots, LD was immediately drawn to the 5-Patch/Embroidery Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Jacket – take a closer look at the intricate detail of this bomber:
The A2 Bomber and the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Jackets are authentically detailed, comparable to the jackets worn by WWII Aviators. You heard me. Every. Single. Detail… is meticulously featured with the patches in the front, back, and sleeves, the Sherpa collar, ribbed cuffs and waist (perfect to keep your little Lieutenants warm in the cold Canadian or American winters), and let’s not forget the military map lining not seen in this photo. Take our word for it… we’ve seen it up close, and LD can attest to its authenticity, comfort, and overall awesomeness.
One of my favorite features of this jacket is the tiniest detail – the little Airplane zipper pull. LD thought these little zipper pulls were SO deeelish – she just had to go right in and take a nice, big bite:
Our only concern with these jackets however, is that they are SO authentic, upon putting one of these bombers on, LD fell right into character – She even started yelling profanities at some dude name Iceman.
And it doesn’t end there. We immediately stopped dead in our tracks when we spotted the 4-Patch/ RCAF Flight Jacket in blue:
I know, I know, we’re getting a little Can-Centric… but LD couldn’t help herself. Don’t despair my American friends, the 7-PATCH MA-1 Flight Jacket is ridiculously adorable, and available in Green. Check this out:
Both Flight Jackets are styles inspired by past Aviator heroes. Once again, the patches are uncanny. Of course, let’s not disregard the airplane zipper pull that I adore (the RCAF Flight jacket includes TWO – just when I thought it couldn’t get any better than this…), zippered sleeve pockets, knit collar, cuffs, and waistband to keep your little Pilots (and Pilot-ess’??) – protected from the frigid air. The jacket is even tapered, similar to that of a real Aviator, in order to accommodate to the small space of the cockpit. Talk about not missing a beat! And even more exciting – these jackets are made of water resistant nylon twill, and get ready for this… it’s washable!? Oooh – music to a mother’s ears! HIGH 5 for Up and Away Jackets!
And now for the main act… the 10-Patch Astronaut Jacket!
Really – there are no words. That is, for the exception of two.. NA – SA! Admit it – we ALL have dreamed, at one point or another, that we would be one of those elite few that have the wonderful opportunity of walking on the moon, right? But really…. who needs the moon, when baby can just rock it out in this UH-dorable jacket??
And it doesn’t take a ROCKET SCIENTIST to know that LD went a little bonkers for the SPACE SHUTTLE ZIPPER PULL!! (Yes, we are a little bit obsessed with the zipper pulls!)
Once again, Up and Away Jackets, available at J is for Jacket online, never lets us down when it comes down to the nitty gritty details. It’s all about quality, authenticity, and striving for perfection.
And speaking of perfect… LD thought it would be quite appropriate to show off one of her most memorable moments of her 8 months of life… Here’s Goose-Baby sharing in a little “Need for Speed” with her buddy Maverick… Sporting her new A2 Bomber, she certainly fits the part now, doesn’t she?
