In honor of George Washington, one of the founding fathers of our beautiful country, we thought it would be perfect to pay homage to his legacy and those of our past presidents, by wearing a jacket designed to emulate those worn by the U.S. Military forces. Who better than our go-to Up and Away Jackets? They mean serious business when it comes to quality, comfort, and authenticity.
Serious, however, was the last thing on our minds the first couple runs we had with Up and Away Jackets. And then we couldn’t resist a good ol’ fashioned west coast swing, circa 1953, with the heavyweight nylon Girl’s Rock ‘n Roll Jacket. I mean – you had me at Rock…
But now…it’s time to take it down a notch and get a little… well.. serious. We’re paying tribute to our beloved nation after all. Let’s talk about the Classic M-64 Field Jacket.

Ahh yes – the Field Jacket. Soft to the touch, this amazing washed cotton jacket feels like the one you’ve had for years and can never live without. With the quilted lining and snap-up storm flap, it’s warm enough to fight the crazy winter we’ve been facing in the east, yet cool enough to sport in the Cali so-called winters. But what we love most about this jacket, and I simply can’t resist mentioning it once again – is its authenticity. With four patches, inclusive of the U.S. Army and Special forces, LD immediately felt empowered and to some degree, heroic. I mean – with the ornamental shoulder epaulets, it’s no surprise that LD makes quite the bold statement (and I quote), “Why not use it to our advantage?” Gotta love this kid.
Within minutes, LD felt compelled to bark orders, and had me referring to her as Sergeant, as I was practically falling over myself making sure her five pockets with snap flap enclosures were free of any debris, and her velcro closure cuffs were adjusted accordingly.
This is one of those products one simply cannot live without. For your little Commander or modern day Joan of Arc alike – it’s an investment worth considering as the quality is unprecedented.
And on this day, President’s day – we want nothing more than unprecedented, yes? LD sure thinks so.
