If there’s anything we love as much as playing dress up (if not more) is chowing down on some good eats! This Friday morning (Black Friday, November 25th), LD, Big Daddy, and I will be making our way to Westfield Topanga Mall (6600 Topanga Canyon Blvd Canoga Park, CA 91303 – conveniently located on the first floor, across from the kiddie’s play area – YAY for LD!) to check out the brand spankin’ new, SNOW MONKEY ICE.

We’re not quite sure which flavor we’ll be going for this Thanksgiving weekend, as there’s an abundance to choose from, such as Sugar-Free Black Cherry, Mango Lychee, Strawberry, Aiya Cermonial Matcha Green Tea (that’s Fancy Big People talk for “Reeeeally good Green Tea”), and in the very near future (by the time LD‘s taste buds can appreciate it) – a limited edition of super cool (quite literally…) unique flavors like, Chipotle-Mango and Chipotle Pineapple will make its way on the menu! Choices choices choices!

Of course, you can’t walk away without a topping or two. Personally – I’m all about the Popping Boba, and I’m sure LD will be sticking to the basics – her daily dose of fruits with a little hint of Pocky.

Why would I be bringing LD to this madness, called a MALL on Black Friday, you ask? Because I will be redeeming my BUY-ONE-GET-ONE-FREE-FOR-THE-KIDDIES COUPON for opening day:
Coincidentally, SNOW MONKEY was founded by Mr. Kogi himself, Mark Manguera and his partner Richard Hong, Owner of Sorabol Restaurant. And yes, I’m talking about THE KOGI TRUCK – The one Big Daddy and I followed like lunatics, from location to location on Twitter, with me waddling pregnant, no less. Now that I have LD – all THREE of us are craving a little snow, and we know SNOW MONKEY ICE is where it’s at! And we’re not just saying this because LD wants to get her chubby paws on this fancy contraption:

We’re a little biased because as you know, LD‘s all about the good deed, and SNOW MONKEY partnered up with Haven Hills Women’s Shelter, for the Snow Monkey Cares project where a portion of all proceeds go to this very important cause.
So be there, or be square – and don’t forget to come in a pair (Mama’s all about the coupon). Grand opening is THIS Friday, 11/25/11 starting 7AM.
