A couple weeks back, LD was invited to what we considered to be, one of the coolest, hippest, most memorable Mini-Rockstar parties to date. Her Godsis Big C, and God Bro B2 – went ALL OUT and ROCKED IT OUT for their joint birthday at Music Stars and Masters in West Los Angeles.
Anything a child could ever dream of on a Sunday afternoon, came to be for these two birthday sibs as they were surrounded by all that is Rock. Why settle for swing sets and a dancing bear when you could rock it out solo and entertain your own darn self??
I mean… who wouldn’t want all that and then some, to kick off another year? With music blasting through the speakers, fellow Rocker friends jammin’ out a familiar tune a la Bruno Mars (or The Fresh Beat Band, whatever tickles your fancy)…
a Rockstar dress-up corner (feather boas, fedoras and shades inclusive)…
(and of course, we wanted in on the action…)
a music stage with no rules…
pizza and ultra cool juice box flavors, dee-lish cupcakes topped off with personalized photo pop toppers, a serenade or two…
and the saah-weetest swag bag anyone has ever seen
…I would say this was quite the stylin’ affair to remember.
Here’s a clip of the cute chaos in action:

We were thrilled to be part of it, and naturally, LD saw this mandatory must-be-dressed-up-as-a-rocker soiree, as the perfect opportunity to bust out her most cherished go-to Rockstar digs, her Up and Away “Girl’s Rock & Roll Jacket“.
With it’s intricate embroideries including musical notes and a drum set, a larger than life guitar on her back, and the age-old adage “Girls Rock” (oh, so true) meticulously positioned on the front, LD was certainly wearing her ‘tude on her sleeve (while keeping with her super slick ode to Rizzo of Grease‘s exclusive Pink Ladies, circa ’78…)
Available in a wide range of sizes, this washable nylon twill jacket fits on the smaller side, so my rockin’ 11 month old kept it on the real and sported a whopping size 18mo!
What we are most excited about, is the extra detail in the zipper. Similar to the other jackets LD featured in our previous post on Up and Away Jackets and our mad love for them, the zipper pull features an oversized silver metal guitar, and though it spent a greater portion of its Sunday afternoon wedged in between LD‘s chompers, it sure was the talk of the party!
… and if the guitar zipper wasn’t enough, LD completed the look with her “OMG” Haute Stuff Tee ($29), her go-to Haute Stuff Silver Foil Leggings ($31), (available online at Madison and Friends), and to cover her rocker tootsies, her Pink Glitter Tiny Toms (‘cuz it ain’t Rock, until there’s glitter!!).
After a couple hours of Rockin’ it out, LD took the party to the streets and showed off her new digs…
as well as a personalized swag bag that carried some child-friendly rocker tatts, and her new, beloved blow up Rock n Roll git-fiddle.
Yet another intricate detail beautifully thought out by Lily, Yummy Mummy of the Birthday party celebrants. As a former rockstar herself, she certainly knew how to take it back old skool even with 2 + 25 wild and crazy rockin’ kids to tend to…
…and our little Miss Wannabe Rizzo was no exception…
Stylishly yours,
db
P.S. Shout out to Lily Chan Photography (and Event planner extraordinaire) for the super fab party pix, as well as fellow hot mama Wendy Berichon Donell – thanks for letting me steal some of your fab fotos. And lest we forget Unky Brian for the rockin’ Rocker-on-the-streets-shots!
P.S. P.S. Don’t forget to give some love to Up and Away Jackets by Liking them on Facebook! The certainly do ROCK!
