Weeee! Apparently this Little Lady in red has a pretty exciting event to attend this Christmas holiday!
It’s that time of year where we go to Big Daddy‘s “castle” for his company’s annual Family Christmas party. That means, crafts, balloons, and a big, jolly guy in red (much like our little lady in red) bearing gifts tagged with the name of every child in attendance.
But more than all the holiday hoopla, what this event means to us, is being able to go to a beautiful space, hand in hand with our little family of three. Smiles, spiffy threads, and a whole lotta sass.
First up…
Crafts station.
This is where my two resident artistes get the opportunity to do what they do best. Side by side. With coffee and juice box in hand, they get to work and get busy coloring and creating to their heart’s desire.
Then from the near distance, we hear a faint sound of a bell jingling down the hallway. Out from nowhere, a very sweet and boisterous Santa appears with a big sack ready to bring some joy to the mini onlookers.
Our Little Lady in red did not contain her excitement. With no hesitation, she jumped as her name was called.
And unlike previous years of mild resistance, Little Lady in red made her way on to Santa’s knee and right into his heart.
And he, in hers.
As far as I’m concerned, more amazing than a Little Lady in red, is a grateful Little Lady in red.
Turns out, she had a short conversation with good ‘ol Saint Nick letting him know that she has indeed been a good girl, and is quite deserving of the adorable Honey Lemon that he got his elves to make her.
We had to jump in for a wonderful opportunity to do our annual family Santa pic. Hard not to smile with this guy sitting among us.
After the Santa extravaganza, the Little Lady in red in red took some time to ponder and soak in all the blissful stimuli.
Oh Ponder Shmonder!
She was having the time of her life. And with every shriek of glee, we joined in and ensured we captured the moments as they happened.
Little Lady in red couldn’t wait to showcase the best part of her look – her fancy new Red Christmas Ruffle Dress. Our friends at Born to Love Clothing never miss a beat when it comes to styling Little Mama in threads that make her feel the most comfortable, and the most herself. With flirty ruffled tank sleeves, a soft and stretchable cotton inner lining, and a luxurious and generous spread of tulle (who doesn’t love red tulle??), the Little Lady in red is feeling as much faboosh as she does festive.
Top it off with the most adorable head wrap that’s ever found its way on to Little Mama‘s head. What we love most is the clever addition of a hidden wire that helps keep this gorgeous scarf on her head and not on the floor.
Hooray for accessory innovation!
It was definitely one of those days that went far too quickly. We hang on to the feelings of holiday anticipation, wonderment, and delight after leaving such a festive atmosphere.
