At one point B.C (“Before Child”), Big Daddy and I believed we were having twins, and for a brief moment, we actually envisioned a life with two “LD“s. We pictured two munchkins wearing the same outfits, eating the same foods, doing the same things, uttering the same words – just living lives in a world of “same”.
Out came one LD – and we soon discovered that there is nothing sweeter than being, dare I say – unique – in this crazy world of conformity – Where everyone looks like one another, follows one another’s actions, and loses the essence of their true selves. It’s empowering and essential to celebrate your own uniqueness. We are given this wonderful gift to be different in our own right – from how we look, to our individual character, to our own sense of style. When it comes to LD – she has no qualms being exactly who she is (and much to the chagrin of her doting Grandmas and Aunties, that’s not your everyday girly girl in pink).
So it dawned on me, upon visiting this gorgeous set of identical twins, that the same rule applies even with two individuals who share the exact DNA (from D to A). Dressing them in identical outfits at all times may deem an orchestration of Oohs and Ahhs (I am definitely guilty of that!) – but it’s important to allow each twin to express themselves individually. It’s all about coordinating with the use of complementary colors and styles, and not necessarily about matching from thread to thread.
Am I seeing double? Click on the vid below and see how we can fix that…
All this talk of duplicates makes me wonder… what if??
Awww, right?
On the other hand…
Hmm…. Yeah… I think I’ll stick with ONE LD for now…
Stylishly yours,
