Alivia Simone Floral Jacquard Dress :: Time for a Princess Tea Party

This Thanksgiving and post-Thanksgiving weekend, I am embracing every moment with my little princess. Today – we decided that shopping was no longer top priority (I know – GASP, right?), and instead, I decided to let Little Mama take the lead on our activities. Naturally, it was all about playing dress up. It’s what we do best, so it seems.

As a side note – anyone who knows my airplane building, mud puddle jumping, pseudo wrestler Little Mama, the desire to play Princess is not something that comes around often – so when she asks for a Princess Tea Party with mommy (and daddy), a Princess Tea Party, she gets.

First… we put on our finest – our Alivia Simone Floral Jacquard Dress was top of our list.

As a modern day Princess, one must practice basic ballet moves – toes en pointe, and all.

And of course, to be at our most optimal, royal behavior, one must first get the sillies out.

We figured we’d drop by at our fave stylist’s chair to give Little Mama‘s bangs a trim. While we were there, Tawnee, our rockstar stylist gave her some soft curls as an added touch to her royal day.

Next, it’s time to dust off our dress-up gloves and finalize our accessories – along with her Marie-Chantal Tote to house all of her princess-esque gear. I mean, what is a princess, without her accessories?

Of course playing coy in the midst of all this princess prep, is the name of the game. Even Tory, her princess bear, participated in the royal fun.

“Mommy, I’m ready to go!”

And off we went – to our much anticipated Princess Tea party.

Parched, my little princess drank to her little tummy’s content.

Every. Last. Drop.

Dress-up day and thoroughly enjoying play and pretend has proven to be a must-do activity in our home. However, sometimes when we bring some of the fun outside, we want the best quality that stands the test of time. Especially if such test involves a very active and energetic little princess (part-time mud jumper, part-time car racer).
