5 Last Minute Big Daddy Gifts for Father’s Day :: Vol. 28 #5Faves

I am slightly panicking that we haven’t started talking about Big Daddy Gifts for Father’s Day until, well… now.

EEEK!!!

Honestly though, I’m not as worried as I have been in the past. We still have 5 more sleeps, tubs upon tubs of paint, our crazy ideas, and a whole lotta love to get our act together and show Big Daddy how much he means to us.

1:: BIG DADDY GIFTS – DADDY’S SHOES ON A CANVAS PRINT

Ever since Little Mama was a Teeny Mama, she has always taken a liking to Big Daddy‘s shoes. Ironically enough, she looks just like him, acts like him, walks, and even talks like him. So this gift would not only be easy to photograph, simply because I can probably catch her doing this at least once a day, it would also be incredibly fitting. Big Daddy prides himself in owning a good amount of great quality footwear so it would be fun (not so fun) for him to see his mini-me literally stepping into his shoes.

We absolutely adore this gift idea from Rockin Canvas. It’s unique, perfect from both a son and daughter, and would be a gift that appears to have weeks and weeks of planning behind it. But we all know better right? #lastminutetomfoolery

2:: BIG DADDY GIFTS – THE QUINTESSENTIAL GREETING – HAND AND FOOT PRINTS

Yes… everybody does it. Chances are, your kid’s daycare or school has already done this for every holiday on the calendar. But what’s so cool about these particular prints is that it takes an otherwise overused idea one step further. Word pun is one thing, but actually making the prints into characters that Big Daddy loves? Well… that’s a ten steps ahead of the gang.

I don’t know about your kiddo, but mine LOVES to dress herself up in Big Daddy‘s fave chinos, skinny tie (with mommy present of course), and slim fit button downs. Lucky for her, Big Daddy is one dapper dude who happens to have fine taste in threads. I can’t think of anything cuter than the little one wearing oversized clothes that, not only look like Big Daddy, but gives him the chance to know that who he is, and what he does for our family never goes unnoticed. I don’t know one family that hasn’t made the proverbial long tie father’s day card, or some variation of it. We certainly have, and not surprising, Big Daddy loved it. But if your little one wants to stand out from the rest of the daddy-crazed kiddos on the block, try craft stick cards that fold out like an accordion, revealing all of Big Daddy‘s wonderful qualities. Who wouldn’t love to see wonderful compliments custom decorated with their little ones’ creativity and love? And for us moms, it’s always a treat to be able to finally get some use out of those popsicle sticks that have been taking up room in our craft closet. Sure, you can get those sweet “I’m the coolest dad. Ever.” and “Aren’t my kids so cute? Here’s their picture…” t-shirts. Those always go over well, especially with daddies that love to wear their kids on their sleeves. But for some of our more subtle daddies out there, like our resident Big Daddy, nothing shows him that we love him (and even better, LIKE him) than acknowledging his favourite shows. This would be especially effective as neither Little Mama (duh!) or I are huge fans of the show.
