With all the time we have spent with Oil & Water Rainwear, it’s no wonder we have acquired a new level of expectation when it comes to rainwear. Yes. We have become the proverbial rain gear snob. Understandably so – because once you go fab, there’s no going drab, right?

We have had a good run with all of our Oil & Water Rainwear coats and jackets, however, we decided to leave the best for last. We are especially fond of the Field Jacket in Denim because not only does it look and feel amazing, it sure does its job! Living on an island surrounded by mountains (snowcaps and all), in the middle of a rainforest, while jet setting in and out of California – we have to be prepared for any and all weather forecasts. This is the perfect everywhere, everyday jacket. Waterproof, water resistant, and fully lined with the beautiful Oil and Water signature print – it’s both practical and luxurious.

And how convenient… it matches her Hunters gloriously.
Just like the Sailor Coat in Gold patent, the tailored hug-fitting hood is part of its charm.
However, LD thought it best to show off her coordinating headwrap, rather than showcasing this jacket’s full potential to all of you. Sigh. ’tis expected when dealing with a 3 year old stylista. You’re just going to have to take my word for it.
The matte gold accent details brings this otherwise casual look to ultimate chic. And if LD is ever overwhelmed by the sudden need to have zippers versus snap enclosures as far as pockets go (we all know how important pockets are for our little mamas! I mean, where else would they store their pint sized Elsa and Anna dolls?) – she has the option.
Why are you looking so blue little one? Ahh – you’re concerned about having to be extra careful with your brand new ultra chic jacket aren’t you? Of course, being the daughter of a laundry klutz, she’s worried that after mama gets her hands on this jacket, it will never be the same. Well – there’s no need to fret, LD – this jacket is a dream when it comes to care. Made of the highest quality of washable fabrics, this is easily hand or machine washed. Just keep the bleach in another room, dry it flat, and don’t iron it… and guess what? It’s like sparkling new! And how convenient is that – mama’s not much of an ironer either! Win/win!
We couldn’t imagine LD enjoying her denim moment without the company of the original denim-lover of the family, Big Daddy. After all, it’s about coordinating with her most favorite person in the world, isn’t it? And yes – I was wearing denim as well.
As you can see, this little city girl has made her mark in the rainy city this winter season. When the weather is as extreme and unpredictable as it normally is in the chilly months, we have no other choice but to ensure our outer wear is just as fab as what is hiding underneath. Oil & Water Rainwear has definitely made this possible.
