Inspired by her signature Japanese style, Singer/Songwriter, Gwen Stefani will be launching her Harajuku Mini line in collaboration with Target. We’re talking about 80 pieces of unique children’s, kids, and tweens apparel including tutus (you know tutus are numero uno on LD‘s Top 5 must-haves), zip-up hoodies, insanely adorable cartoon tees, and how can we forget, Stefani-style ballet flats.
Zuma Nesta Rock, age 3, and Kingston, age 6 – Gwen Stefani’s ultra kool kiddos – are pretty darn serious about keeping up with the Stefani-Rossdales’. They find no shame in rocking just about everything they wear from mom’s new Target Brand, Harajuku Mini, to bright blue kicks, to an even brighter blue mohawk.
It’s a no-brainer, these stylin’ sweeties are the source of inspiration for Stefani’s new line of children’s apparel and accessories. As for my source of inspiration, she’ll be busy dreaming of sheep, while I will be standing by with baited breath for this Mini Madness to roll out at Target. Prices range from $3.99 – $29.99 and rumor has it that it will be available online (Target.com) and hitting stores November 13, 2011, with more action to follow January 2012.
“I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the supercute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices,” Stefani tells WWD. As a huge fan of big girl Harajuku, I am happy to extend two chubby thumbs up from our In-house Fashionista who is helping mama make room in her closet for a little Harajuku hit!
Stylishly yours,
