Oscar de la Renta has always been a household favorite (hello, look at this silk organza strapless gown?? Triple sigh…), and so, when word spread that Oscar has taken the mini world by storm, stamping his signature looks into Children’s Fashion, we just had to take a peek into the upcoming Summer styles (now available for Spring) for our mini-me’s.
From the preppie looks for our dapper dudes:
to the fancy florals for our Lovely Ladies:
The upper East Side is ready for these Oscar kidlets to make their mark. Similar to Ralph Lauren‘s traditional wear, this line carries adorable rompers and blouses, smocked dresses, tailored blazers, striped polos, slim-fitting linen trousers and much more. I’m especially thrilled that the tunics, jumpsuits, and pleated blouses have also made a come-back (I know, I know, “pleated-ain’t-needed”… but trust me, these are blouses are beauti-licious!!!)
Here are some of our faves:
The Gingham Smocked Dress (named after its neckline) is adorable with its elastic capped sleeves, matching bloomers and beautiful embroidered detail:
The Checked Romper for toddler boys, features Mother-of-Pearl Buttons and Snap-bottom closures as well as a crisp white cotton short-sleeved shirt:
The Floral Summer Dress is perfect for play, with its high waist, rickrack trim, and back wrap, but most charming is its matching Bloomers:
And in case you didn’t know this, I’m quite the sucker for seersucker…
The Toddler Sleeveless Seersucker Bow Dress is fully lined with the stylish inverted pleat and is available in navy and pink:
The traditional fit of the boys Seersucker Blazer, makes this timeless jacket a perfect choice for our little gentlemen:
And what’s a blazer (Seersucker or not – and yes, they have them in Solids as well), without a Liberty tie??
Sizes range from 12 months to Children’s size 12, with a price point of $65+. All available just in time for Spring at www.oscardelarenta.com online, and in Bergdorf Goodman stores.
Not LD‘s typical look (soon-to-be!), but the quality is unsurpassed, and it will be no surprise that this luxury line will soon take over our Celeb Look books. I imagine, Suri Cruise will be among the first customers knocking on Oscar de la Renta‘s Door.
Stylishly yours,
