Anyone who loves (and lives for) kids fashion (like yours truly), knows that petitePARADE, in the heart of New York City, is the place to be at the top of Spring and Fall of each and every year. The 8th Edition of petitePARADE was held at the historical Bathhouse Studios in Manhattan’s East Village, and as always, was a celebration of talent and artistry of some of top designers in the world of kids fashion, and showcased amazing work from up and coming designers. With over 10,000 guests in attendance with the numbers increasing with every event – it’s no wonder, petitePARADE has become the go-to place for children’s go-to fashion.
Here are some of the looks that caught our attention.
With the weather outside being oh so frightful, we’re loving how Anaïs & I‘s outerwear lives up to its promise of the highest quality wear, with simplistic and functional styles, while staying true to innovative design.
LITTLE MISS GALIA
I had the pleasure of meeting designer Alia Charvel as she showcased her collection at Playtime for Fall/Winter 2014 last March. This year, Little Miss Galia‘s Fall/Winter 2015 collection was equally unique with its inspired aztec prints and vibrant tones. The debut of her Little Miss Galia collection in the American market proved to be quite the showstopper.
And a collection after my own groovy heart… Aria Children’s Clothing. Loving the bold colors, 70’s inspired prints, blatant shapes and surprising pairings.
This collection of beautiful fabrics celebrates the innocence and carefree nature that makes children… well… children. With a touch of whimsy, a delicate dose of nostalgia, and a whole lot of mod, we love these combined and modest looks that catches the eye both on and off the runway.
We weren’t exactly equipped to handle the ultra cool and confidence that strutted down baby runway as avant-garde, all-boy brand Dillonger made its entrance. Loved the unique take on mini street style, with a hip blend of trendy-meets-big-city-turned-jet-setter, especially when the General Gal, Sade Kimora Young (aka “Sky”) kicked it up a notch with an element of tomboy sass.
As petitePARADE alumni, Bonnie Young, cascades down the catwalk grabbing the attention of all present – both young and old, this timeless brand need no introduction.
With every season, this brand amazes me with its innovative and artful creations. I’m always excited to see how she outdoes herself from the previous season.
We have absolutely fallen in love with Imoga Collection, also an alumni to the shows. With classic-inspired designs, and elegance to every thread, each piece maintained the element of playfulness and fun. The bright frocks and vibrant prints paired with more subdued tones, accessorized by the roaring 20’s inspired mesh veils left us breathless. LOVE.
And what’s a trendy tot event without some of the most fun celeb-u-tots filling the front row seats? One of our fave friends in the kids fashion circuit, London Scout accompanied by her BFF enjoyed the events from start to finish.
Much fun was to be had by all at the petitePARADE. It’s all about the kids, after all.
petitePARADE does it again! An event filled with a healthy mix of the familiar and the unexpected. A lot of posh, a ton of play, and a whole lotta class. I asked little mama her thoughts – and the 8th edition got an enthusiastic 2 chubby thumbs up!
Keep on marchin’ petites! Keep on marchin’!
